Al Omran Group was born in 1975 in Al Basra, Iraq. After that, the business expanded greatly in the 80’s of the last century, opening branches in Baghdad and the rest of the Iraqi provinces.

The early 90’s were the turning point for us. We founded and owned shares in many Iraqi companies such as Al Waseela, Waseelat Al Omran, and Al Ihata. Al Omran was one of the biggest F&B companies in Iraq at that time. We continued to grow as we opened more branches, storehouses, and offices.
2003
While Iraq was undergoing a fundamental political change in 2003, we decided to enter the construction industry and take part in rebuilding Iraq after a ravaging war. That is when we founded Durat Al Omran for General Contracting.
Since day 1, we have been keen to provide an extensive portfolio of top-notch solutions and services for the most prestigious projects in Iraq. We have also had a great experience in retail sales where we meet different tastes in various areas.
We were eager to conclude agreements with the most prominent international brands in various industries such as construction materials and F&B. We continue to maintain our lead in the specialized markets as we rely on a dynamic methodology built upon three pillars: human resources, innovation, and development.
